Description
This is paraprofessional work within the Test Center and the Accessibility Services Office requiring the utilization of specialized data, equipment and techniques. An employee in this position responsible for the organization and implementation of services offered and maintenance of materials. The individual should be very knowledgeable of and abide by the laws and regulations governing the security and confidentiality regarding student information, test integrity and records maintenance. This position reports directly to the Director of Testing and Accessibility Services.
Examples of Duties

Acts as a test proctor for all levels and types of examinations.
Utilizes specialized data, equipment and techniques relating to testing services.
Performs all clerical work related to a particular phase of the supervisor's program, maintaining all records, and composing correspondence relative to the program.
Processes test registration forms, schedules appointments and maintains records.
Examines, checks and verifies reports and statistical data for completeness, propriety, adequacy and accuracy of computations; determines conformity to established requirements; personally follows up the more complicated discrepancies.
Records and follows up on accommodation requests to meet ADA guidelines.
Assembles and summarizes information from files and documents in the office or other available sources for the supervisor's use on the basis of general instructions as to the nature of the information needed.
Assists in all phases of the operations.

Minimum Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
Knowledge of basic computer data entry operations on mainframe computers. Knowledge of correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar usage. Knowledge of basic arithmetic. Ability to obtain and abide by federal and state laws, procedures and guidelines pertaining to disability accommodations in higher education with regard to testing and assessment. Ability to work with little or no supervision. Ability to organize files and other records. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. Ability to use good judgment. Ability to make persons with disabilities feel comfortable and welcomed. Ability to respond appropriately to crises and last-minute changes. Ability to accurately communicate information to students, staff, faculty and the public. Ability to manage a high volume of telephone calls, appointments, records and files effectively and efficiently.
Ability to enter complex and varied data into the computer. Skilled in general office procedures. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products. Skilled in working for multiple managers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree plus one-year records management experience or high school diploma plus two years of records management experience.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS:
Acceptable eyesight (with or without correction).
Acceptable hearing (with or without correction).
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
Use of fingers.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Works inside in an office/lab environment.
