Score At the Top Wellington is seeking a part-time, in-person SAT/ACT Test Prep Tutor. Our tutors not only make a pedagogical difference in the classroom, they also lend emotional support to students. Our goal is to foster in students their critical thinking and problem solving abilities, and at the same time to be continually aware of the student’s emotional needs.
Principal Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
- One-on-one or small group instruction for the SAT/ACT, must be able to tutor ALL sections of the test (or capable of being trained).
- Flexibility and adaptability to personalized instruction and/or small-group classes
- Entering qualitative and quantitative data into our online record system
- Establishing and maintaining communication with parents and Score peers
- Adding energy, ideas, and elbow grease to our campus community
- Continually improving upon pedagogy through ongoing professional development and communication with peers across the company
- Serving as a mentor for students
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree is required for consideration.
- Must have SAT/ACT Test Tutoring experience to be considered.
- Must be IN PERSON
- Teaching credentials are a plus, but not mandatory.
- Experience with students on the Spectrum and students with ADHD is a plus.
- Mentoring experience.
- An outgoing nature, organizational skills, competence on the computer, and enthusiasm for working in a remarkably energetic and fulfilling school setting.
- Ability to begin teaching and tutoring immediately in the subject area, and the grade level required.
