Job Description:
Experience with digital cellular protocols, including EV-DO and WCDMA air interfaces, Knowledge of LTE air interface
Skills/experience:
- At least 3 years experience in product validation, field-testing and debugging of wireless devices, CDMA & UMTS network protocols.
- The required skills include: - Understanding of software testing and practices including automated testing - Experience with digital cellular protocols, including EV-DO and WCDMA air interfaces is required. Knowledge of LTE air interface is a plus. - Understanding and working knowledge of standard network protocols, data networking, TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, and HTTP - Experience with Voice over IP, PTT, SIP protocols - Excellent Troubleshooting Skills - Experience working with Qualcomm chipset based devices and hands on experience with QXDM/QPST tools is preferred - Experience with 3GPP/3GPP2 network infrastructure, including commercial implementations of the the following functions is a plus: PDSN, BSC, PCF, MSC, IWF, HLR, AAA - Programming experience in Perl and/or C/C++ is preferred - Working knowledge of LINUX/UNIX is a plus
Technical Responsibilities:
- Executing handset testing in lab/field - Developing test plans/test cases - Analyzing test results - Debugging issues, filing CRs etc
Number of years of exp: 5-8 years
Must have Technical qualifications:
- Participating as a member of the Q-Chat Server Test team for the Q-Chat project. In this position, candidate will be responsible for authoring test plans and test cases, test case execution, analysis of test results and communication with internal customers.
- Candidate will work closely with the development team, Customer Engineering team and other test teams to successfully execute and implement the assigned tasks.
