About CARBICE
We are taking the material science we’ve worked on for over 15 years to market. Our carbon nanotube (CNT) technology is a game changer for multiple industrial applications. And we are the only company able to manufacture affordable CNT solutions at scale. As a result, CARBICE is already being used by multiple companies across multiple categories: high-performance computing, consumer electronics, and satellites that are orbiting Earth.
The only missing piece: You. We are building a team that will shape Carbice, educate customers, excite all stakeholders, and execute flawlessly. Our goal is to be a thriving participant in the Atlanta community and a globally recognized brand.
What you’ll be doing
- In this role, you will be responsible for set up and execution of complex experiments and case studies to demonstrate the thermal performance of Carbice solutions in applications and to drive completion of case studies.
- You will characterize electronic devices and systems to develop an understanding of the fundamental parameters like device morphology, assembly technique, and operating environment that drive the relationship between solution and performance.
- A key trait that we are looking for is the ability to make things work. The successful candidate is a tinkerer, a DIYer, a builder, an autodidact. You should be comfortable operating in a space without pre-defined recipe to follow. Can you start from simple off the shelf components and design a test system that replicates the relevant functions of a real industrial system?
- You should be an excellent note taker and communicator. You must be able to clearly communicate test plans and document results with detail and insight. It is imperative that you have a teaching mindset, to effectively share what you learn through your work.
- The thermal Test Engineer is the center of expertise for test equipment used in the engineering organization, including maintenance, calibration, documentation of operating procedures, and identification of equipment and tooling needs to support our technical roadmap.
- This is a fast paced, nimble role, that requires the ability to move quickly from ideation to execution of projects, sometimes balancing multiple projects simultaneously
Education & Work Experience
You’ll have experience in hardware design, characterization, analysis, or testing. A background in semiconductor thermal management and expertise in heat transfer principles and is strongly desired. Individuals who A bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Science discipline is required; with Mechanical/ Mechatronics, Electrical or materials disciplines preferred.
