Test Engineer (Remote)

Key Responsibility:

We are seeking Linux System Administrators that embrace Lean/Agile and Extreme Programming practices to add to our client's growing sustainment team. In this environment the Linux System Administrators is expected to work on a team sustaining fully-working, tested code across the full stack of technologies. The Linux System Administrators will collaborate directly and continuously with product managers and designers, and business partners to maintain and support legacy applications.

• Consults with product manager to identify minimal viable product and decompose security settings
• Pairs with other software engineers to cooperatively sustain and support application and the related infrastructure
• Solve highly complex technical problems using industry best practices
• Uses the test driven development methodology to realize the technical solution

Preferred:

• 2+ years of work experience web development including:

o Java and Cold Fusion web development (heavy emphasis)

o TcServer (heavy emphasis)

o git, bash

o Data modeling

• Exceptional software engineering knowledge
• Test-first/Test Driven Development (TDD) experience
• Highly effective in working with other technical experts, Product managers, UI/UX designers and business stakeholders

Key Skills:

These include the ability to understand and communicate the following at an executive level both internally and externally:

• Understanding of application server platforms used in a corporate environment and the hosting requirements these require (ex: Tomcat, WebSphere)
• Experience of Disaster Recovery
• Exposure to Devops and Agile
• Understanding of security policies in virtualized / cloud environment
• Experience using JavaScript and any modern JavaScript framework – Angular, React, or Vue
• Professional experience using XML related technologies and JSON
• Extremely motivated and dedicated individual that is able to work efficiently and effectively without being micromanaged or given step-by-step instructions
• RMF Framework and STIG experience
• Linux and Windows System Administration

Certification/Clearance Requirement:

• IAT-II/ADP-II
• Any of the following certifications meet the IAT Level II requirement:
• CCNA-Security
• GSEC
• Security + CE
• SSCP
• CASP CE
• CISA
• CISSP (or Associate)
• GCED
• GCIH
