Responsibilities: THE ROLE:
AMD is looking for a Test Engineer to join our growing team to enable cutting-edge CMOS and 3DIC technology at AMD. In this role, you will be leading the silicon data collection effort to characterize test structures, validate circuit performance, and drive future technology adoption.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate possesses an innovative and problem-solving mindset and is passionate about performing hands-on projects in a lab setting. A successful candidate will need to be able to design and execute testing solutions, assemble different tools, collect data, collaborate with vendors, and be able to modify equipment to support projects where the testing methods might not have been previously established.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Independently perform automatic and manual measurements of test structures and circuits to support fast-paced technology development in a hands-on role.
- Develop, implement, and optimize test programs by coworking with internal teams to define the objectives of each testing project.
- Design solutions to quickly overcome expected and unforeseen technical challenges.
- Lead silicon data collection, publication, and visualization efforts.
- Coordinate with vendors on laboratory equipment and supplies to ensure timely support of testing projects.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Passionate about setting up, executing, and completing lab-oriented or hands-on projects.
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, device physics, or advanced packaging technologies.
- Knowledge of electronic circuit debugging and analytical skills.
- Experience in wafer and die handling is a plus.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing tests (e.g. Keysight 4080 Series parametric tester, Accretech UF3000EX wafer prober, probe stations, etc.) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Linux operating system and/or python programming is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline

Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
