They are currently seeking a passionate and results-driven Territory Sales Manager to become a valuable addition to our dynamic team in Hammond IN. This role will be focused on business development and customer retention within the steel industry, reporting directly to the VP of Sales.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Salary: $70K - $100K/yr. + commission

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pursuit of New Business: Actively seek new business opportunities, both spot transactions and contractual agreements.
- Revenue Growth: Drive revenue increase in targeted accounts through effective sales strategies.
- Business Closing: Build consensus, secure commitments, and successfully close deals.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends and developments through workshops, publications, networks, and industry events.
- Prospecting: Identify and pursue new business prospects, maximizing growth opportunities.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct competitive analysis, adjust positioning to enhance market leadership.
- Sales Forecasting: Predict sales trends, communicate competitive situations, and forecast sales dollars.
- Customer Relationship Management: Enhance our sales position with existing customers through routine contact.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic business plans for the territory.
- Collaboration: Interact with Inside Sales Representatives to meet customer requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Serve as the interface for customer quality issues.
- Travel: Willingness to travel as needed (up to 75%).
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of outside selling experience in the structural steel industry.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or 5+ years of management experience in steel service center sales.
- Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, basic understanding of metallurgical terminology.
- Technology: Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office Suite.
