Terminal Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Terminal Manager to oversee the operations of our terminal facility. The Terminal Manager will be responsible for managing a team and ensuring the efficient and safe handling of cargo and shipments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and transportation management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving operational excellence.
Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of terminal operations, including loading and unloading of cargo, equipment maintenance, and facility security.
• Manage a team of employees, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and safe terminal operations.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations governing the transportation and handling of goods.
• Monitor and analyze operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to drive efficiency and cost savings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic initiatives to optimize terminal operations and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
• Drive a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
• Prepare and analyze operational reports, including productivity, financial, and quality performance metrics.
• Stay current with industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory changes impacting terminal operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience working as a Terminal Manager or in a similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of terminal operations, including cargo handling, equipment maintenance, and facility management.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving operational efficiency and cost savings.
• Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to interpret and leverage data to drive operational improvements.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing the transportation and handling of goods.
