Temporary Weekday Caregiver

URGENT!!

Temporary (6-8 weeks) weekday care is urgently needed for a young man in Rocklin. The care is for a 28 year-old adult male with the diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy. The client requires general assistance and supervision with his ADL's, as well as some household chores such as cooking, laundry, dishes, and other basic household upkeep. The young man is ambulatory and active athletically finding enjoyment in being outside, taking walks and good books.

Shift Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 3:00pm

Work Experience/Skills:

• Preferred: At least one year of experience working with people who have physical/mental disabilities.
• Empathy, patience and the ability to care for the client’s social, emotional, physical and mental needs.
• An understanding of what to do in emergency situations.
• A fun, outgoing personality with a creative mind in planning events to do with the client.
• Reliable & punctual worth ethic is mandatory.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Valid California Driver's License
• Proof of Liability and Car Insurance
• CPR and First Aid Certification

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Supervision throughout each shift. Most shifts will be out in public (coffee shops, parks, museums, etc).
• Some light cleaning & laundry responsibility as needed.
• Assistance with eating, bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
• Periodic meal preparation.
• General companionship.

Pay Rate:

• $22 per hour

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
