Position Temporary Shipper I

Description

Compensation: $16.00 an hour

About this role

The Temporary Shipper I is responsible for filling customer orders and delivering them to the appropriate area in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, and productivity

Duties

  • Utilize assigned equipment to pick orders, access back stock and prepare items for shipment

  • Assist in the unloading of all products from offshore containers

  • Assist in front and back stock inventory accuracy, basic inventory control, stock refill and inventory put away

  • Complete other assignments as assigned by leads, supervisors and managers providing timely progress reports

  • Know the full Outdoor Research product line and remain updated on changes, additions and deletions.

  • Assist in maintaining a clean and healthy work environment

Position Requirements

What you should bring to the table:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) expected but not required.

  • 3-6 months experience in a warehouse environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Forklift and pallet jack certified, or ability to become certified, after training

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Detail oriented, strong math and organizational skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a culturally and ethnically diverse workforce.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, flexibility, and the ability to work independently

  • Strong teamwork skills

  • Ability to effectively and efficiently juggle multiple priorities.

  • Ability to maintain an excellent attendance and punctuality record.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes

or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical

parts, extreme cold, extreme heat, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment

is usually loud.
