Temporary Position- Coordinator, Employee Engagement and Labor Relations
TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT
Under direction of the Director of the Department of Labor Relations, the coordinator provides program/project planning, implementation, analysis, and evaluation of the critical contract administration, Employee Engagement, professional learning, Labor Relations, and compliance initiatives. Work requires the analysis and assessment of unique circumstances and issues. Coordinates and collaborates with school-based, central services and outside organizations on special projects as assigned by the director. Works with appropriate staff to develop memos, presentations, and other products. Plans, coordinates, and facilities system wide meetings and trainings across a broad range of areas that include employee and Labor Relations, contract administration, regulation and policy review and development, and employee conduct and investigations. Facilitates timely delivery of products and services aligned with the offices and districts strategic priorities, strategic plans, and other system initiatives. Strong experience in using technology to improve communication and Employee Engagement, and facilitate timely access to information and participation. Ability to exercise independent initiative, establish priorities, organize resources, and make procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues.
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in educational administration, human resources, or supervision preferred. Familiarity with the school system, education services and Labor Relations preferred. Flexibility in scheduling welcome. Ability to telework. Some night and weekend hours. Retirees welcome to apply.
