Temporary Payroll Analyst II
We are seeking an individual to effectively support payroll activities for a 700+ employee, multi-state, payroll. This temporary position requires the ability to meet frequent deadlines and to perform responsibilities within tight schedules and under pressure.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support all aspects of the biweekly payroll processing for 700+ employees using the UKG payroll system ensuring accuracy, compliance and outstanding service goals are consistently met:
- Check and verify timesheet records; maintain vacation, holiday, sick leave, and worker's compensation records
- Process employee status changes, tax changes, deductions, and direct deposits
- Review payroll reports for accuracy
- Resolve paycheck discrepancies timely
- Review, analyze, and manage Federal and State wage reports
- Maintain strict confidentiality with compensation related information
- Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations as assigned
- Ensure federal and state tax and other regulatory filing requirements and deadlines are met in compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Maintain related files and records in compliance with company and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements
- Generate reports, conduct specialized research projects, and respond to inquiries as required
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years in a payroll support position
- Experience with general ledger accounting and experience with SOX
- Experience with the UKG HR/Payroll and UKG Time Management preferred
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must be able to perform vLookup functions & create pivot tables
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is a plus, but not required
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Flexible to changing priorities
- Strong and positive work ethic
- An ability to be productive and successful in an intense work environment
