PeopleOne Health Telephone (PBX) Operator Description of Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for operating telephone attendant system to handle incoming, outgoing and interoffice calls
- Provides a welcoming and positive first impression to internal and external customers
- Answers all calls with appropriate telephone etiquette
- Process incoming and outgoing calls and routes to appropriate parties
- Schedule, re-schedule and confirm appointments as per protocol
- Work effectively as a team member of the Center for Employee Health to improve the care provided
- Provide a positive work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Position specific testing: typing 30 words per minute.
- Customer Service experience preferred.
- Telephone operator or high call volume management experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and make decisions quickly and appropriately.
- Be a highly self-motivated and results-driven individual.
- Proficient with computers and technology.
- Demonstrate professionalism, respect and tact at all times.
- Displays enthusiasm and a positive attitude toward coworkers and all members of the practice.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people of varying ages, ethnicities, life experience, etc.
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of the team.
- Dependable, displays flexibility, and shows initiative.
