Job Summary:
We currently have a career opportunity for an individual in FSO's Insurance Operations Technology Enablement group focusing on Telematics and Usage Based Insurance (UBI) solutions. The individual will work directly with clients to transform their business problems into technology solutions. The goal is to support our clients' efforts to make their business units more effective and efficient and, where required, provide services in connection with the remediation and mitigation of process risk. Our experience is also important to the analysis of specific business requirements for alignment with technology architecture, technology infrastructure design, vendor selection decisions and technology implemention plans that support the business unit organizations of our clients.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Manage project teams through all phases of the technology enablement life cycle; Lend specific subject matter knowledge to the design and integration phase of each project, helping to give specificity to the appropriate architecture, data model, and system design and interfacing requirements
Advise clients on a variety of business process services that help identify, assess, manage and measure the organization's capabilities; Use business process, organizational and technology capabilities and knowledge across several of the following focus areas:
o Policy Administration, Billing & Commissions, Claims Management
o Enterprise Data Management/Reference Data Management
o Reinsurance Accounting and Reporting Operations/Technology
o Performance Management and Measurement (KPIs, business driver-based metrics)
o Data Warehousing Features/Functionality
o Enterprise Technology Expense Reduction
Team with client technology professionals, and/or third-party strategic alliances to provide implementation of technology solutions
Participate in engagement management, engagement execution and reporting, and client relationship building and management
Candidate must have extensive prior experience in development and creation of new business opportunities
Education:
Bachelor's degree (math, accounting, finance, or related field) and approximately (Manager: 5-10) (Senior Manager 10-15) years of related work experience; or a graduate degree (MBA or MS preferred) and approximately (Manager: 5-8) (Senior Manager 10-13) years of related work experience
o Relevant experience at or advising for a financial services company; strong preference for experience with property and casualty insurance carriers
Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a team of technology advisors (based on proven project management and testing methodologies) through all phases of the technology life cycle, including requirements definition, architecture design, conversion and testing
Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client servicing and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating operations with technology skills
Ability and comfort level researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies
Experience in the following areas:
o Definition of business and technical requirements
o Design of business and technology architecture
o Application configuration
o System selection and implementation support
o Data mapping and conversion
o Proof of concept
o Quality assurance and testing
o Business and IT process reengineering
o Program/project management and implementation planning (PMO)
Previous experience in any of the following:
o Internet of Things
o Connected Mobility
o Connected Vehicle
o GPS Navigation
o PAYD/PHYD/MHYD insurance
o Telematics: fleet management, tracking, car infotainment systems, e-call, PAYD insurance
o Mobile content and mobile internet services
o Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS)
o Business Intelligence patterns (standard data modelling approaches, OLAP platforms, approaches to data presentation and consumption)
Strong knowledge of business case development for UBI using mobile, telematics technologies desired
Solid understanding of Insurance related metrics, KPIs and analytics driving business decisions
(SM: 5+) (M:3-5) years ofUBI, Telematics and Business Strategy experience
Willingness and ability to travel approximately 80-100%.
