Telecommunications Specialist

As a Field Engineer, the ideal candidate should maintain a solid understanding of technical equipment, adeptly applying project management models for project-based development, deployment, and installation efforts. The role involves providing comprehensive support for innovative hardware, software, and network systems, including build, testing, analysis, deployment, and troubleshooting/lifecycle support. Responsibilities encompass analyzing contract requirements, monitoring progress of installations and upgrades, and collaborating closely with Customer personnel to offer visibility into special projects.

• Familiarity with configuring, deploying, and supporting Cisco network devices, routing protocols, Cisco IOS, SNMP, TCP/IP, Ethernet, Quality of Service (QoS), and Optical Networking.
• Proficiency in the installation of commercial leased lines, power systems, Type-1 Crypto, fiber cabling, and various network equipment devices.
• Strong background in Microsoft Systems Engineering, including recent experience with Windows 10 and Server 2012/2016 suite, virtualization products (particularly Hyper-V), and TCIP/IP routing.
• Experience providing Tier 3 support for technical systems.
• Installation and maintenance expertise with network multi-layer switches, routers, firewalls, workstations, satellite, and secure communications.
• Skills in installing and terminating fiber optics and Ethernet cables, along with knowledge of McAfee product suite.
• Demonstrated performance as an Engineer throughout the project lifecycle and as a technical leader in multi-contractor, on-site, and virtual environments.
• Ability to understand and communicate technical ideas across various stakeholders.
• Capability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and independently develop solutions.

Security Clearance: Active, in-scope US Government issued Top Secret Clearance with FS Poly.

Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.

• Experience working in OCONUS environments.
• Proficiency in performing site surveys for systems installations, infrastructure, and power requirements.
• Experience providing technical training for both foreign and domestic audiences.
• Technical Certifications: MCSE and/or CCIE.
• Working knowledge of VMWare and ESXi.
• Previous experience with storage devices, including NetApp.
• Familiarity with CSFC technologies and methodologies.
• Current experience in the Sponsor’s classified and unclassified distributed work environment architectures and systems.
• Expertise in secure remote mobile computing.
• Knowledge of SCCM.
