Title: DIRECT-HIRE Telecommunications Specialist ( w/ active TS/SCI security clearance)
Location: on site - Vienna, VA 
Status: must active TS/SCI security clearance) to qualify for position. 
Compensation - Base salary range is roughly between $105-115,000/year w2 + Bonuses & Benefits - Based on extent of position-relevant experience

Responsibilities
Essential Functions:

• have the ability to correct malfunctions by testing, analyzing, and restoring telecommunication systems to full capacity.
• have the knowledge of Avaya telephone hardware and software.
• have the knowledge of Avaya CS1000 PBX.
• have the knowledge of Polycom and Microsoft Lync VTC hardware and software.
• be able to train end users in the proper use of telecommunication equipment, including but not limited to Avaya telephones, Polycom VTC equipment, and Microsoft Lync.
• be familiar with basic IP network administration.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• TS/SCI required: have access to unclassified, secret classified, and top-secret SCI classified systems and information required for the performance of duties.
• have access to Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) space as required for the performance of duties.
• perform the daily maintenance O&M of the TSC’s telecommunication systems.
• assist TSC personnel in the utilization of TSC’s telecommunication equipment.
• provide training to TSC personnel on the utilization of TSC’s telecommunication equipment.
• monitor the TSC work ticketing system for telecommunication related support request tickets.
• respond to tickets from the TSC work ticketing system, updating and/or closing tickets as work proceeds.
• work with the TSC Senior Audio-Visual Technician on projects and support requests that require both telecommunication and AV support.
• participate in departmental cross-training efforts as both instructor and trainee.
• manage special projects as required and assist with other duties as assigned.
• document project and / or assignment daily status in the work tracking database.
• have a bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of experience providing telecommunication services, or have ten (10) years of experience providing telecommunication services.
