General Description
Hiring Range: $32.67-$36.51 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; Friday, 7:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., plus additional hours as needed.
This role is on-site with occasional remote work.
No residency requirement.

Examples of Duties
- Oversees fare collection hardware and software.
- Monitors and maintains various computer systems and telephones, including, but not limited to AVL, RTA, Cummins, Allison, etc.
- Manages all security-related software, including cameras and facility access.
- Evaluates needs for new technology and upgrades to existing technology equipment.
- Assists with IT-related procurements.
- Assists with radio communication software.
- Maintains various system licenses and agreements.
- Assists other Metro staff with all IT needs.
- Troubleshoots and communicates with various vendors regarding all Metro IT needs.
- Works with City IT Department to install various IT software and hardware.
- Completes required documentation.
- Develops and implements training material for staff in software and equipment use (i.e. quick references, detailed manuals and personal instruction).
- Provides backup to other staff as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Required
- Associate degree in Microcomputers, Network Support, Computer Science or related field.
- 1-3 years technical support-related experience.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
A combination of equivalent experience and/or education may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Considerable knowledge of personal computers, printers, and standard office automation software. Ability to work in multiple software programs. Working knowledge of network environment including cellular data environments. Knowledge of IP telephony systems and IP camera systems.
- Skill in identifying and resolving PC and network support problems. Skill in identifying and coordinating network support problems.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and other departments. Ability to work the required hours of the position.
May be required to demonstrate minimum competency by successfully passing approved tests.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform the following activities:
- Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting and crawling.
- Ability to focus on projects for long periods of time.
- Ability to use fine hand tools.
