Technologist - Materials Engineering

Your Key Responsibilities

• Set up test-specific lab procedures to test the functionality and / or quality of materials, (semi-) finished parts or prototypes as part of the product development process.
• Perform a range of quality analyses, according to given specification and procedures.
• Report on stated failures and take or initiate appropriate actions.
• Document results of test procedures in the systems and support interpretation together with responsible Engineers or Project Manager.
• Carry out calibration and maintain functionality of laboratory tools and equipment.

Your Qualifications

• Technical Associate Degree or Journeyman Certification.
• Experience using electronic measurement transducers, signal conditioning, read out equipment, and software.
• Experience with machining and layouts.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical & hydraulic machinery.
• Basic knowledge of chemicals and lab safety.
• Advanced knowledge of the automotive manufacturing industry.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Engineering & physics knowledge.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
• External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship.
