Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Fabricate acoustic enclosures, component housings, and mounts as required
• Modify the interior structure of vehicles to fit components and install and configure electrical wiring as required for the installation of audio and electronic products per customer and or engineering specification
• Create prototypes for various product development activities
• Create product testing and evaluation fixtures
• Manage the lab and woodshop and create a better organization of tools, parts, and materials
• Speaker enclosure testing and wiring documentation (Running audio sweep tester, labeling parts, creating and filling out spreadsheets).
• This position will drive for company's business
• Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of fabrication experience in the automotive industry, preferably with car audio systems
• Experience with power tools and shop environment
• Ability to handle challenging projects with a positive team-oriented attitude
• The ability to understand technical specifications and schematics is required
• Strong troubleshooting skills are required to be able to identify and reproduce problems
• Must have knowledge of various car audio systems, including the Alpine product line
• Strong computer skills, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of basic business policies and procedures is necessary as is an understanding of the QS-9000 system (preferred but not necessary)
• Experience with fiberglass, polyesters, and epoxies
• Experience with making templates and laying out design concepts
• Experience with automotive finishes and body fillers
• Prior experience using ShopBot is a plus
• Experience with 3D printer machines
• A valid US Drivers License and auto insurance are required during employment in this position
