Our client, in the sports entertainment industry, is looking for a Technical Writer/Project Coordinator on a long term multi-year contract. The candidate will be the primary dedicated tech writer specifically for the Global IT Security dept, who will simultaneously act as a project coordinator.
- This individual will be responsible for updating existing and creating new documentation (in Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, etc). This could include physical, event, information security, and cyber security standards, policies, processes (SOPs), operations and compliance documentation, reports, workflow processes, presentations, etc.
- They will also help in organizing existing documentation into various sites including SharePoint. From a project coordination perspective, this individual will assist with scheduling meetings, creating/editing meeting agendas, presentations, reports, documenting meeting minutes, assisting with tracking and following up on action items, etc.
- Candidate must be flexible with assignments, in that they must be willing/able to jump from documentation writing or presentation mode to internal communications and project coordination.
This individual will be reporting directly to the Global Chief Security Offer and could be interfacing with, attending meetings and/or sending communications out to all other internal depts, executive and C-levels, third-party partner firms, and other operating companies.
Candidate's must have advanced MS Office skills (2016 or O365) including MS Excel (pivot tables, functions, Vlook-ups), PowerPoint (creating presentations and some animation work within PPT) and Visio (workflow diagrams, etc), and SharePoint.
The ideal candidate will have 4+ yrs of technical writing experience, coupled with some project coordination skills. Candidates should have strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal), ability to multi-task, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and be flexible to changes/updates that might need to take place on the fly.
Qualifications
•Strong writing skills and 4 years+ experience in writing content for business, ideally in a security related department
•Excellent communication, interpersonal, and listening skills
•Proficient in Microsoft Office (a must)
•Experienced with creating targeted content for different audiences, including unique voice, tone and style (storytelling)
•Experience in project coordination tasks such as taking meeting minutes, following up on action items, meeting communications, etc.
•Self-directed and strong ability to prioritize effectively, able to create, manage, and meet deadlines
