Technical Writer | Mechanical Technician Transitional Opportunity

No technical writing experience needed! You will partner and train with their lead writers and learn how to use their already created templates to create manuals.

This is a hybrid position where you’ll take yourmechanical aptitude and use it to help create documents for industrial and manufacturingcompanies around the US. Perfect role for anyone who is a technician, mechanic, or works in maintenance looking to transition into less of a physical role witha long-term, stable company.

TechnicalWriter Responsibilities:

• Research, review, and comprehendmanufacturing documentation, drawings, specifications, schematics, diagrams,etc for customers.
• Interpret complex systems and how theyare to be integrated into technical manuals.
• Shadow maintenance technicians while they work on equipment so you can help create/adjust manuals.
• Develop maintenance procedures anddiagrams based on customer’s needs and requirements.
• Meet writing schedules and deadlines.

You will be successful in this roleif you if have a hand on mechanical experience and like working in a teamenvironment.

Schedule: Flexible day shift hours with some remotecapabilities.

Technical Writer Qualifications:

• Over 3 years of experience working as atechnician, mechanic, or in maintenance.
• Experience working in an industrial ormanufacturing environment.
• Abilityto read and interpret drawings, schematic, blueprints, etc.
• Needsto be comfortable working onsite occasionally with clients and technicians.

Compensation: Up to $30/hr. DOE
