The Role
As a Technical Writer, you will be an enthusiastic and adept learner in the technical and non-technical realms, able to communicate in written form clearly and appropriately to help customers use Bloomerang products. This role requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment. The Technical Writer at Bloomerang will work as part of a small team, building strong working relationships across roles and teams to complete projects and ensure all published work is optimized to meet customer needs.
What You Will Do
- Create and execute upon documentation plans to produce simple, accurate, polished, and audience-appropriate customer-facing documentation for product changes, new features, and enhancements.
- Maintain a body of work of 1200 articles and growing, evaluating existing and potential help content to ensure content freshness, quality, accuracy, findability, and effectiveness across multiple products, while also developing innovative approaches for content improvement and workflow optimization.
- Provide input on user interface text from a customer-centric perspective.
- Provide and respond to thoughtful peer reviews that address issues with content structure, quality, style, technical accuracy, grammar, mechanics, and audience-appropriateness.
- Contribute to overall documentation content strategy to ensure users are able to find and easily consume the right information at the right time.
What You Need to Succeed
- Experience working with agile software development teams to write customer-facing technical software product documentation.
- Experience managing and publishing content through a content management system or knowledge base tool.
Nice to Haves but Not Required
- Experience working with style guides.
- Experience in startups or high-growth software.
- Experience writing release notes.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is: $62,500 - $93,500. You may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, as well as applicable employment laws.
Location
This is a permanent, full-time, fully remote position. Employees living in Indianapolis, IN are welcome to work from our company headquarters. We do not offer Visa sponsorship or relocation assistance at this time.
