Job Description
Sellers & Associates, LLC (S&A), has a contingent opening for a Technical Writer, supporting Naval Information Warfare Center, Pacific (NIWC PAC), Training Services Group, Code 43120.
NIWC Pac, Code 43120, Logistics and Training Branch, is responsible for providing training services to tactical afloat shipboard, ashore and submarine Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR), Manpower, Logistics and Business systems. Services are required to provide support for Manpower, Personnel and Training, Front End and Training Situation Analysis, develop and implement training solutions, schedule fleet training, and provide solutions for Technical Training Equipment design and installations.
Job Requirements
The Technical Writer will perform direct writing for engineers, scientists, and other personnel who author technical and administrative publications, ensuring proper context, clarity, style, and consistency of content are maintained across each document. The Tech Writer will also perform technical editing of existing Government documents and presentations to ensure technical consistency, format consistency, proper sentence structure and grammar.
Education:

• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, computer science, or related discipline

Experience:

• Eight (8) years of experience as a Technical Writer, developing, writing and editing material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instructions books, catalogs and related technical and administrative publications.
  • Including 6 years of specialized experience in the information systems field.
• The ability to interface with development teams and end-users to understand functional requirements to develop processes and procedures, is required.

Clearance:

• An active secret clearance is required
