Technical Writer

Mayvin is seeking a Technical Writer to support the Witness Security Division of the U.S. Marshals Service. The Technical Writer must be an individual who possesses technical writing skills with three to five years of experience in policy development or project management.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must have an active Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Writing and drafting policy directives, strategic plans, SOPs, and other documents
• Facilitate the strategic planning and policy development process
• Creating/Editing/proofing requirements documents for grammatical, formatting errors, and content inconsistencies
• Organizing the files for the policy directives/strategic planning
• Gathering information from various sources, providing data analysis, and recommending process improvements
• Providing additional general support, i.e., tracking directives and providing weekly and monthly status reports, etc

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Must have three to five years of specialized experience in the above-described duties.
• Effective technical writing and oral communication skills.
• Superior time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to change.
• Must be proficient in technical writing skills.
• Superior knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior writing and editing experience as a Technical Writer supporting a Government Agency
