Job description
Manage the Technical Development Department’s (TDD) Technician Development Program (TDP), and Continuing Education curriculum by partnering with Maintenance Equipment Service Departments (MESD) at all HDMA locations using exemplary customers service, organization, and communication skills, thereby contributing to the improvement of the on-the-job performance of technical associates and achievement of HDMA manufacturing characteristic targets.
- Lead administration of TDP and continuing education Technical Training curricula to ensure technical associates have the necessary skills to perform at a high level on the job. Schedule classes, resources, and students for Technical Training classes. Manage TDP students’ progression in development programs by analyzing data from TDD learning management systems and performing PDCA to ensure on time graduation from the program
- Collaborate with TDD customers in all HDMA manufacturing facilities through various forms of communication assuring technical associates receive needed development to achieve HDMA business goals
- Manage TDD reporting processes to collect, analyze & report data illustrating TDD business impact for inclusion in TDD reports to business unit leadership. Suggest actions based on data analysis
- Collaborate cross-functionally with technical trainers, instructional designers, and department management to ensure customer learning needs are met supporting on-the-job performance
- Lead retention of associate training and other TDD records in compliance with the corporate record retention policy
- Lead support of all TDD learning management systems (HLC, Amatrol, Tooling U, etc.) used by TDD and MESD users at all HDMA manufacturing facilities
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Education Requirements
- Degree or certificate in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field or 3 years equivalent experience
Experience Requirements
- 0-3 years with a degree or certificate in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field
- 3+ years without a degree or certificate in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field
Job Specific Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills with a diverse customer base
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills- ability to build and maintain strong business relationships
- Ability to multi-task. Advanced MS Office skills.
- Experience with Learning Management systems (LMS) (e.g., SABA, Success Factors) is a plus

- Analysis of training systems and improvement feedback
- Weekly OT is nominal (typically <5 hours/week)
- Travel to other manufacturing sites usually not more than 3 to 5 times per year
- On-site with some remote work available
- Open office environment both in the office and on the training floor (where there is some noise and activity)
