Job Description
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining and optimizing our company's IT infrastructure located on premises in our NYC office as well as our offshore offices. You should be proficient in monitoring, upkeeping, and implementing preventative maintenance for our on-premises infrastructure. You will have to have in-depth knowledge and experience working with ESXi hosts, Cisco switches, Meraki wireless access points, as well as other on-prem infrastructure located in our New York and Madrid office. Knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls is a plus, but not a requirement. In addition, you will serve as a direct escalation point for level 1,2 escalations from the end user team.
As a member of the IT End User support team, you will be involved in administration tasks including Office 365, OKTA, AWS Workspaces, MDM management, OKTA administration, SSO integrations, PowerShell scripting, automation, and silent deployments.
A successful candidate will be hands-on and execute end-user projects and tasks, including those related to hardware refreshes, Windows imaging, asset management, Active Directory, Group Policies, and video and teleconferencing. You will be on rotation with the other team members for out-of-hours support defined through our SLA.
Responsibilities :
The successful candidate will have strong experience working with enterprise-level infrastructure technology. The Systems Administrator will be a highly ambitious individual who can provide white-glove service and support to our users, assist with automating processes in software deployments, images, and security-based tasks. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the continuous reliability, performance, and security of our systems.
- Design, implement, and manage complex IT systems and infrastructure components
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of our on-premises equipment servers, networks, and associated hardware and software
- Maintain software updates, vulnerability protection, security settings, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources to aid in problem resolution
- Maintain "incidents and problems ticketing system with rigorous attention to SLAs and end user communication
- Resolve physical and virtual computer issues (connectivity, performance) and printer issues (local, network)
- Provide support on:
- Office 365; Active Directory; Okta; including SAML integration and onboarding
- AWS Workspaces
- Provide white-glove IT support to C-level associates, Partners, management, and end users
- Provide on-call support in the event of user issues after hours or on weekends as needed
- Engage a broad range of stakeholders across the organization including Front and middle Office, Product Control, Risk Management, Back Office, Front Office, and other App Support teams
- Adhere to established information security standards and procedures
Primary responsibilities estimated percentage:
- 50% Infrastructure administration and upkeep
- 50% End User support and escalations
Required Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience in an infrastructure role with a financial services organization, administering Windows/Linux servers/Cisco networks, Meraki Access Points and routers,
- Experience as a "seasoned " System Engineer who has been designing and owning infrastructure systems and networks from the ground up.
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise in Windows, Linux, O365, Group Policies, Conditional Access, automation, and PowerShell scripting
- Working knowledge of Networking, DNS, Internet Infrastructure, and IP informational tools
- Advanced Troubleshooting skills with various hardware (laptops, iPads, iPhones, printers. Crestron A/V equipment)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with professionals at all levels of seniority
