About the Role
The Information Technology Group (ITG) is a collection of people, processes and technology investments that are designed to achieve the business goals of FTI Consulting. The junior Technical Support advisor will:

• Advise FTI Consulting staff in all practice areas on all information technology issues and provides state-of-the-art technical solutions in support of computer and local area networks.
• Provide Technical Support to FTI Consulting clients on billable engagements.
• Assume an ownership role on internal help desk and provide applications and systems support, application and network systems administration, and seek to document user requirements of FTI staff in the pursuit of providing solutions to their technical needs.
• Provide entry-level support and knowledge of computer software and hardware, entry-level network operating systems, PC applications, Internet services, multi-media and messaging software used in FTI.
• It is expected that this incumbent will work as a part of the ITG team in a customer support role for all business and technology related issues at the local office level. The ability to work in a team environment is required.

What You'll Do

• Work as a technology support advocate for all FTI Consulting staff in all practice areas. May act as the liaison between office and systems integrators and/or vendors when appropriate.
• Work within the IT group while working with FTI practice areas and corporate staff to establish technology user requirements that the entire ITG will use to define and design solutions.
• Work within the IT group in maintaining a knowledge of all client care services and applications used in FTI Consulting.
• Act as an advocate for the staff in the resolution of any and all computer-related problems or issues.
• Assist in writing, structuring, and organizing technical procedures.
• Provide support in the configuration, installation and troubleshooting of software applications on workstations.
• Provide basic support in the configuration, installation and troubleshooting of Cisco IP Telephony systems software and provides for administration of handsets and related cabling and configurations.
• Configure and support all ITG approved wireless devices.
• Maintain an understanding of collaboration equipment installed in the office and provide audio and video calling assistance for staff.
• Provide support with application software installation and use.
• Remain knowledgeable of, and experienced with, using operating systems on workstations.
• Be familiar with local and wide area network concepts, LAN/WAN connectivity, and data communications protocols.
• Understand desktop and laptop hardware components and ITG supported software, including messaging clients, web browsers and Internet, anti-virus software, office productivity applications, and time entry systems.
• Be open to working flex hours as required to meet business needs.
• Occasional physical labor, which may include moving equipment or furniture up to 50 lbs. and flexibility to crawl underneath desks or tables to access network jacks and electric receptacles.
• Adapt to changing priorities while working on your own and as part of a team.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant post-graduate professional experience
• A minimum of A+ or Network+ certification credentials
• Experience utilizing leading-edge end user hardware devices and software
• Experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
• Basic understanding of PC Architecture, Office 365, Windows 10, and customer services
• Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in business field
• Experience with Active Directory, O365
