Essential Job Function
Responsibilities:
- Perform entry level vehicle, mechanical and electrical work
- Use common hand and power tools to perform various tasks
- Drive benchmark and prototype vehicles
- Document work and tasks performed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Order, receive, maintain and organize parts and materials inventory lists
- Ensure the organization, proper care, storage and inventory of special tools
- Assist scheduling vehicles for service
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with partners and stakeholders
Qualifications
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Basic mechanical and electrical skills
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Effective organizational skills and practices
- Basic computer skills (word, excel, Microsoft office)
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to learn new technology
- Ability to thrive in fast paced and ambiguous environments
- Detail oriented and internal motivation to learn and grow
- Proven experience in automotive maintenance and repair
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification a plus
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Hours may vary
- Travel 50%
