How will you make an impact?

TSS’ Metrology team is a critical support service enabling TSS’ success. To ensure quality of service for our customer base performing lifesaving and life-changing work, TSS’ Metrology Department provides calibrated equipment and technical support to our Field Service Technicians. As the TSS Metrology & Calibration Administrator, you will facilitate the advancement of employees while supporting our quality of service.  

Metrology & Calibration Administrator supports the metrology department maintaining paper files, electronic files, assisting other regional calibration labs, performing quality control for certificates and SOPs, and shipping and receiving of equipment and supplies.

What will you do?

Metrology & Calibration Administrator supports the metrology department maintaining paper files, electronic files, assisting other regional calibration labs, performing quality control for certificates and SOPs, and shipping and receiving of equipment and supplies. 

  • Maintain paper-based calibration files on all TSS equipment, SOPs and manuals, vendor certifications and RTI paperwork into TSS’ proprietary software and network.
  • Reviewing, approving, scanning and saving all TSS, client and vendor calibration certifications.
  • Daily QC of calibration certificates for TSS equipment, client equipment, vendor calibration certifications for TSS equipment.
  • Liaison across nationwide offices, calibration labs and departments
  • Provide accredited calibration certificates to Metrology Manager for approval.
  • Compile Equipment due lists on weekly and monthly basis.
  • Compile the TSS ISO-9001 metric reports on quarterly basis.
  • Assist with Purchase Orders and obtaining return authorization forms.
  • Update and verify Service Manager Test Equipment daily.
  • Shipping and receiving daily equipment, update test equipment and perform monthly regional equipment meetings.
  • Proofread and/or edit metrology SOPs
  • Other duties as assigned.

How will you get here?

Education and Experience

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. 
  • Recommended 1-2 years of customer service experience. 
  • Requires some relevant administration experience. 
  • A combination of education, training and related experience may meet requirements. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint site management 
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills. 
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to continually learn new services. 
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision by employing effective time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills. 
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
