Job description

CTG is seeking to fill a Technical Sales Engineeropening for our client in Morrisville, NC.

 

Location: Morrisville, NC

Duration: 12 months

 

Overview:

This remote position is a customer-facing technical pre-sales/relationship role supporting our sales teams. You will be a technical solutions adviser as customers look to us to provide IT solutions to address their business needs. You will be integral to the sales teams for opportunity identification, solution planning/design, and all technical elements of the sales cycle. You are the technical arbiter with the customer and with our internal teams.

 

This team is the tip of the spear for our company as we introduce our customers and prospects to innovative solutions around our ThinkPad, ThinkCentre, ThinkStation, AR/VR, Smart Office, Retail, Healthcare, IoT and Modern Deployment solutions. This role requires a strong blend of both technically savvy and sales acumen. You will leverage your knowledge of the customer, the opportunity, and the assets we can bring to bear to deliver a best-in-class solution while gaining buy-in from key stakeholders as the opportunity progresses.

 

Duties:

-Territory management.

-Opportunity identification by presenting technical solutions to business problems.

-LOB expansion.

-Understand and articulate best practices (internal and the industry as a whole) around the PC life-cycle.

-Understand emerging technologies and products and the company's strategies to address them.

-Solution planning/design.

-Set and manage expectations around solutions, internally and externally.

-Collaborate with customers, sales team, and extended company teams.

-Gather feedback from customers on current products and relay that to the company Business Units for improvement of future generations of product.

 

Skills:

-3 - 5 years’ experience Technical Sales and consultative support in the PC Industry.

-Proven track record in managing a sales territory.

-Hardware deployment/management best-practices knowledge required.

-Extensive knowledge of the Intelligent Devices space and relevant trends.

-Previous experience as a Sales Engineer highly desired.

-Excellent relationship/team building skills.

-Excellent, professional verbal and written communication skills.

-Ability to present at the IT staff and senior management level.

 

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
