This remote position is a customer-facing technical pre-sales/relationship role supporting sales teams. You will be a technical solutions adviser as customers look to provide IT solutions to address their business needs. You will be integral to the sales teams for opportunity identification, solution planning/design, and all technical elements of the sales cycle.

This team is the tip of the spear and will introduce our customers and prospects to innovative solutions around our ThinkPad, ThinkCentre, ThinkStation, AR/VR, Smart Office, Retail, Healthcare, IoT, and Modern Deployment solutions. This role requires a strong blend of both technically savvy and sales acumen. You will leverage your knowledge of the customer, the opportunity, and the assets can bring to bear to deliver a best-in-class solution while gaining buy-in from key stakeholders as the opportunity progresses.

Key Responsibilities

-Territory management

-Opportunity identification by presenting technical solutions to business problems

-LOB expansion

-Understand and articulate best practices around the PC life-cycle.

-Understand emerging technologies and products and strategies to address them

-Solution planning/design

-Set and manage expectations around solutions, internally and externally

-Collaborate with customers, sales team, and extended teams

-Gather feedback from customers on current products and relay that to the Business Units for improvement of future generations of products.

 

-3 - 5 years experience in Technical Sales and consultative support in the PC Industry.

-Proven track record in managing a sales territory.

-Hardware deployment/management best practices knowledge required.

-Extensive knowledge of the Intelligent Devices space and relevant trends.

-Previous experience as a Sales Engineer is highly desired.

-Excellent relationship/team building skills.

-Excellent, professional verbal and written communication skills.

-Ability to present at the IT staff and senior management level.
