Job Description
A Carney Technical Quality Control Analyst (QC) will be involved in testing web-based training, immersive learning simulations, mobile applications, and documents. The QC team identifies performance and functional issues and tracks them through the revision cycle. This position is open for full- or part-time employment. Position is RemoteResponsibilities
- Perform various methods of manual testing on elearning courses and training-related deliverables and reports.
- Perform compatibility testing, performance testing, and accessibility testing.
- Perform compliance testing (including SCORM and Section 508) on client’s LMS.
- Document errors, report errors to appropriate parties, and verify the resolution of the issues.
- Manage working on multiple projects at the same time.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive solutions that are within sphere of influence.
- Match product to specifications.
- Provide consultation on accessibility policies and ensure compliance with all mandatory government accessibility standards.
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a field related to information technology and at least two (2) years of progressive experience testing websites, mobile utilities and applications, and Section 508-compliant and SCORM-conformant asynchronous eLearning courses using a variety of applications and internet technologies. OR In lieu of degree, at least five years of similar relevant work experience testing websites, mobile utility and applications, and Section 508-compliant and SCORM-conformant asynchronous eLearning courses using a variety of applications and internet technologies.
- Must be able to pass a government background check at the Public Trust level.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience with internet protocols such as XML, PHP, HTML5, Cascading Style Sheets, Section 508 requirements.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting deployment of asynchronous eLearning courses on LMSs as well as open-source learning platform and web formats.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience communicating technical terms to non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated experience with software applications such as ANDI, JAWS, and JAWS Inspect to ensure the content being developed is Section 508 compliant and web-accessible.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify accessibility barriers and suggest feasible solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Two (2) or more years of experience with rapid eLearning authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, and Presenter, and Adobe Professional Suite to create, develop, or manipulate assets for eLearning courses.
- Trusted Tester Certification.
- Experience working with government clients.
