We are on the hunt for a Technical Project Manager who is a true multifaceted dynamo, blending entrepreneurial spirit with a knack for thriving in a fast-paced, innovative DoD environment at the forefront of AI technology. This role is for someone who can navigate with minimal guidance, is quick to adapt, and ready to jump in at the foundational level of a rapidly growing organization.

Key attributes and skills include:
-Versatility: You're not just a one-trick pony. One day you might be crafting technical documents, the next, you could be brainstorming new ideas, getting hands-on with tasks, or presenting reports to DoD leadership.
-Technical Acumen: While you don't need to be a software developer, a strong understanding of agile software development is essential. You should be skilled at interpreting complex agile software and advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence, and able to explain them in simpler, accessible terms.
-Communication and Presentation Skills: Confident in presenting ideas and able to effectively communicate complex technical concepts.
-DoD Savvy: Recent experience and understanding of the nuances of project management within the DoD, including its processes and frameworks.
-Tool Proficiency: A strong affinity for tools like GitLab and SharePoint, with the ability to navigate GitLab competently from a project management standpoint, and a talent for building team workflows.
-Microsoft Teams: Proficient in building workflows and managing interactions with GitLab.
-Strategic Communication: Willing to engage in strategic communications and represent the team in interactions with other DoD departments and teams.
-Team-Oriented: You should be kind, approachable, patient, and an absolute team player, someone who's not afraid to contribute to a positive work environment.

In this role, you'll be wearing multiple hats, bridging gaps, and contributing significantly to a groundbreaking project. We're looking for someone exceptional, who's ready to roll up their sleeves and be part of something extraordinary.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute high-quality technical writing tasks, creating clear and concise documentation, proposals, and reports.
  • Design and deliver compelling presentations and reports to various stakeholders, including DoD leadership, conveying complex technical information in an easily understandable format.
  • Leverage technical expertise in software and AI to guide project direction, make informed decisions, and provide innovative solutions to technical challenges.
  • Utilize GitLab effectively for project management, ensuring all tasks and milestones are tracked and updated regularly.
  • Manage and optimize workflows and interactions between Microsoft Teams and GitLab, facilitating seamless collaboration across platforms.
  • Develop and maintain efficient team workflows within SharePoint, ensuring easy access and organization of project documents and resources.
  • Show initiative as a proactive team member, effectively handling diverse duties in a dynamic, virtual DoD setting, with a focus on coordination, event planning, team facilitation, and multitasking.
  • Develop and oversee a streamlined knowledge management and documentation system for the division, ensuring clear communication, efficient processes, transparent work practices.
  • Craft and manage comprehensive technical documentation and strategies for organizational processes, task management, and onboarding within the DoD framework, promoting efficient information sharing and coordination across the program.
  • Oversee user access and role assignments across various platforms and software systems, while ensuring adherence to division knowledge management practices and proactively identifying solutions for operational enhancements.

SKILLS:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager with a focus on software, showcasing strong entrepreneurial skills, excellent communication, and presentation abilities, coupled with the proficiency to clearly convey complex technical concepts
  • 7+ years experience working on large software development or technical programs in DoD.
  • 7+ years of technical writing experience, preferably in a DoD setting, with responsibilities including organizing and maintaining the division's documentation system.
  • 5+ years of recent experience working with multi-organizational DoD programs.
  • 5+ years experience working with Gitlab, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint.
  • 5+ years of experience in engaging in strategic communications and representing the team during interactions with DoD departments and teams.
