About Value Management Office within Consumer Digital & Platforms

Central to the mission of the Entertainment Team, the Consumer Digital and Products (CD+P) group is responsible for consumer-facing web presences and TV Everywhere streaming apps. We plan, design and build for connected TVs, web, mobile phones, tablets, and consoles for a large footprint of leading products and brands (HBO, DC, TBS, TNT, TruTV, HGTV, ID, TLC, Discovery, Animal Planet, Food Network, TCM, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, and more) and together with our cross-functional collaborators we operate as one company with one mission to be the premier media and entertainment leader globally.

About the Team and Role

The Value Management Office (VMO) coordinates and accelerates the delivery of strategic and platform technology initiatives across Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) globally throughout North America, LATAM, EMEA and APAC. ​We partner to define, drive adoption, and ensure operational readiness of cross-platform components within our organization. The team provides essential program and portfolio management support for CD+P Leadership, as well as the wider WBD business. The role ensures best practices and standards are followed to enable the successful execution of CD+P’s strategic priorities through portfolio management and program delivery. You will be driving value to the business by managing cross-functional collaboration and delivery to achieve business and strategic goals.

The ideal candidate

We’re looking for a Technical Program Manager to join the Entertainment team that is responsible for defining and shaping the next generation content creation products and brand applications for our worldwide teams. You’ll work with other Program Managers, product managers, engineers, and cross functional partners to deliver an outstanding experience that anticipates the needs of our stakeholders and plays a major part in powering WBD’s world class digital storytelling. You should be well versed in digital workflows, building content management systems, and able to partner with a wide variety of partners.

Expectations

  • You will drive cross-cutting strategic initiatives and ensure smooth coordination between various teams involved in the delivery lifecycle.

  • Partner with Product, Engineering and Business stakeholders on the execute and deliver of strategic initiatives that are aligned with overall engineering and product strategy.

  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, and coordination of activities while identifying potential bottlenecks and proactively implement strategies to mitigate risks.

  • Maintain a program view of the roadmap, priorities, KPIs and OKRs that feed into the broader portfolio roadmap. This includes identifying issues that impede team success and providing solutions/recommendations.

  • Manage the prioritized initiative/feature plan and partner with PMs across the org to ensure alignment, proper integration, and sequencing into unified portfolio roadmap.

  • Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration between the Entertainment team and other departments and stakeholders.

  • Assist with training, onboarding, documentation, issue triage, and launch support plans for new features and capabilities.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, team members, and external partners. Act as a trusted advisor to the entertainment team and provide awareness of strategic direction.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends. Identify opportunities for process and team improvement and drive initiatives to enhance productivity, innovation, and quality within the team.

Skills / Experience

  • 2+ years in digital program management, preferably within Media

  • Experience with developing and managing content management systems, editorial tools, video streaming, applications and digital experiences.

  • Demonstrated history of exceptional accountability and a commitment to timelines

  • Ability to think strategically and to translate ideas into action

  • Experience using analytics and data to inform product and business decisions

  • Exceptional communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams
