Position Summary:
Manages special projects including development and/or technical staff. Responsible for the design, implementation and roll out of product and technologies. Participates in design activities with other staff members. Works closely with Stakeholders.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Leads a development team and applicable staff
- Responsible for the daily tasking of team members
- Works closely with stakeholders and senior management to ensure success of project(s)
- Analyzes and researches and develops project requirements
- Assumes responsibility for the ongoing technical architecture for products
- Ensure that Engineering processes are being followed
- Leads and participates in design meetings
- Reviews and provides input into project schedules
- Reviews and provides input into Risk Management and carries out Risk Mitigation actions.
- Ensure proper documentation required of product is complete and accurate
- Research, understand and recommend new technologies
- Able to both Manage and participate in development activities when needed
Qualifications/Skill and Knowledge
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Must hold an IAT level 2 certification, such as Security+ CE
- Minimum 3+ years program/project management experience
- 5+ years of experience with Web development modern and Web technology stack tools, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript Frameworks, Ajax, Java, JEE, and XML
- Experience with various JavaScript frameworks including jQuery
- Experience with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
- Experience in technology integration including backend enterprise systems
- Able to set priorities and adapt to change
- Ability to interface and communicate effectively with Professional Service staff and other non-technical members of the organization
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies
- Takes initiative to learn new technologies and skills through formal and informal means
- Take on technical lead role of all-sized projects
- Able to task and set priorities for staff developers based on project schedules
- Identifies and communicates risk within a project
- Ensure project milestones are met
- Able to accurately convey design and requirements to staff
