Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a very strong TechnicalProduct Manager with Systems Integration expertise for a Right-to-Hire Contract assignment with one of our premier Higher Education clients in Manchester, NH. The University aims to convert this contractor to a Full-Time Employee. He or she will need to work onsiteoccasionally (approximately 1-3 days/mo.). Work hours are 8 am - 4:30 pm withthe flexibility to work additional hours and weekends as needed based on the business needs and workload.
Right to Hire candidates need to reside in one of the following states: AL, AZ, AR, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, HI, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, MO, MS, MA, MI, NH, NC, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WI, WV, WY. Exceptions are possible for this role.
The Technical Product Manager, Integrations plays an instrumental role in ensuring the success of the Integrations Center for Enablement with a two-pronged mission: 1) Provide a self-serve, holistic Integration Platform, and 2) Enable the University to build integration solutions at speed and scale.
S/he is responsible for a core framework of APIs, integration capabilities and related services that enable the University to readily connect systems and data to achieve agility, growth, and innovation. You will be running the Systems Integration business for the University via strong business collaboration, marketing, and driving the business value and risk.
This multifaceted role is highly technical and requires previous experience in software engineering, proven success in Agile product management and exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Integration Technology senior leaders, Integrations Architect and key stakeholders to develop/maintain the Integration Platform product strategy and roadmap aligned to the University's business priorities.
  • Proactively collaborate with appropriate team members to identify and manage requirements, build core capabilities, maximize adoption of reusable features, and efficiently solve for unique features critical to business success.
  • Develop the vision, strategies, and goals to drive customer engagement with Integration solutions and services across the organization.
  • Manage the Integration Platform product lifecycle from a strategic planning point of view.
  • Nurture a data-driven culture where strategic trade-offs, backlog prioritization, and processes are informed by quantitative measures in accordance with business value.
  • Partner with key integration technology and business stakeholders to define, scope, and further articulate features in the backlog and their desired outcomes.
  • Clearly and transparently articulate options, implications, and outcomes that inform strategic decision making and balance business impact with engineering cost.
  • Continuously improve Integration products and processes. Define, track, and communicate relevant metrics to measure product/service performance and success as defined by our customers.
  • Establish release plans that satisfy requirements, inform resource plans and achieve desired outcomes. Additionally, partner with engineering teams to ensure staffing, scale and skill sets align with priorities and timeframes.
  • Proactively guide cross-functional teams to drive execution, remove roadblocks, and quickly respond to change/uncertainty with the discipline to analyze choices that inform the next best course of action.
  • Act as primary focal point for key Integrations solutions vendor(s).
  • Collaborate with appropriate team members driving the communications plan for Integrations products and services to ensure effective cross-team communication and alignment.
  • Keep up to date on the latest best practices, strategies, technologies, and industry changes relevant to the Integrations product domain.
  • Manage a team of Product Owners
  • Build high-impact PowerPoint slides and deliver messages at the highest levels within the organization (e.g., periodic steering committee meetings).
  • Conduct Senior Leadership planning/backlog/portfolio management meetings and negotiate resulting priorities.
Required Skills:
  • Experience should include 7-10+ years of progressively responsible roles in software engineering, product/platform ownership, and/or product management.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise integration platforms, modern API technologies and system integration best practices.
  • Understanding of low-level technical details relating to APIs and system integration frameworks (e.g., HTTP requests).
  • Experience with MuleSoft or similar API Gateway and Integration Platform as a Service (IPAAS).Experience using MuleSoft is highly preferred!
  • Ability to conduct effective conversations with technical developers (users).
  • Proven record of accomplishment of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise-level IT software and projects involving complex integrations.
  • Solid understanding of Agile principles and ways of working in Product Management and Product Ownership.
  • Success in delivering large-scale software integration projects or programs in a global enterprise setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs, and evaluate opportunistic innovative ideas with technical and non-technical partners.
  • Strong ability to lead, influence, and empower team members without formal management authority.
  • Keen attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar field, and relevant experience.
  • Ability to build high-impact PowerPoint slides and deliver messages at the highest levels within the organization (e.g., periodic steering committee meetings).
  • Experience conducting Senior Leadership planning/backlog/portfolio management meetings and negotiating resulting priorities.
Preferred Skills
  • Both Product Manager and Product Owner experience in an Agile digital transformation environment.
  • Certifications
    • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
    • Certified Product Owner/Product Manager(POPM)
  • Experience in the Higher Education industry or equivalent.
