OVERVIEW:
This role will oversee and manage all shipping and logistics of equipment for Turner Sports remote game and studio productions.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with Tech Ops Managers across all sports to support any weekly shipping/logistics needs for NBA, NHL, MLB, U.S. Soccer, etc.; Distribute a weekly grid with all movements listed
- Work with Tech Ops Managers, Tech Managers, and Production to plan and execute all shipping, logistic, and storage needs for all Remote Tentpole events including NBA All-Star, NCAA Final Four, HBCU Legacy Classic, Capital One’s The Match, and opening night/postseason coverage
- Help manage inventory of WBD-owned gear at Techwood campus, Field Ops shop at Northyards, and B/R NY office
- Work directly with SOS Global and other vendors/couriers to manage/track movements of gear and handle all budgeting and invoicing questions; must be trained on hazmat/battery shipping safety
- Maintain good working relationships with other vendors and help get their gear to and from WBD-events
- Physically help organize/palletize any gear needing to ship out while in the office or out remotely (Must be able to lift ≈75 lbs. – forklift certification recommended)
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-3 years in live television production management
- 2-3 years in remote production and equipment
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 4 Year degree in television production or equivalent.
