We are seeking a Technical Lead (comparable titles, Senior Technical Lead, Senior Principal Software Engineer) who displays strong characteristics of AIP Publishing's cultural principles: Progressive; Researcher-Focused; Experimental; Equitable; Authentic; Action-Oriented; and Collaborative toplay a pivotal role in the technical quality and delivery of technology solutions for AIP Publishing (AIPP).
The Technical Lead, reporting to the Manager of Development and Integration, willwork across the organization to guide, develop, and maintain business systems integrations, and information processes to support enterprise security architecture and information technology rules and requirements around those efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical teams and key stakeholders to design new technology solutions aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Evangelism of architectural vision, strategy, and principles.
- Develop technical presentations, design documents and product specifications that meet industry standards.
- Define and lead all aspects of development to ensure solutions meet latest modernized frameworks.
- Maintain an ongoing awareness of emerging developments and trends in technology that could impact current projects and influence new projects.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science/information systems, required. Advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience with solution design efforts and contributing as a direct resource. With emphasis on the following technologies: MVC, ASP.NET Core, REST, JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React), jQuery, Bootstrap, MS SQL, No-SQL Databases (MongoDB etc.), Services Messaging (such as MQ, MSMQ, Kafka, Rabbit MQ) and Cloud development tools, required.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience leading others/driving the application development process and mentoring, required.
- Experience with enterprise data management, cloud computing, system architecture, strategic development, and enterprise solutions, required.
- Expertise and experience in lightweight, rapid SDLC process and agile methodologies, required.
- Proficiency in Python programming and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras preferred.
- Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and their practical applications, preferred.
- Must have excellent communication, analytical, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, strong presentation skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with Senior Management, internal/external stakeholders.
- Requires occasional 24x7 on-call availability.
Additional details:
$133,000 - $140,000
Salary within the above posted range is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience.
To be considered candidates must reside within NY, NJ, CT, MD, VA, PA, MA, RI or Washington, DC. This is a remote first plus convening opportunity.
