An Off-Campus Work-Study Position
Job Duties, depending on assigned department:
Assist in the fabrication, assembly, packing and transportation of scenery, props or costumes.
Use power tools under the supervision of master carpenter or technical director.
Read and utilize shop drawings for construction.
Assist in layout of projects, including basic charge painting.
Learn and adhere to the safety procedures within the scenic studio.
Communicate issues with builds and troubleshoot problems effectively.
Assist in props fabrication and costume rental packages.
Assist as crew in the load-in/running of Opera Southwest productions.
Reports to the Production Manager & Technical Director of Opera Southwest
Other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
Qualifications: Must have a good attitude and be conscientious, detail oriented, creative, and flexible. Depending on departmental assignment, must have the ability to lift 30 - 50 lbs. The ideal candidate has background in school or community theater.
