Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Technical Assistant for the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy. This position is funded by an NSF supplement to provide research assistance to Dr. Lanjing Zhang to perform computational tasks on high-dimensional biological data.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Conducts data transformation and cleansing using python.
- Proficiently programs python-based machine learning algorithms to analyze high-dimensional biological data.
- Carries out inferential statistical analyses using python.
- Keeps a good record of programming codes and results.
- Drafts and revises manuscript.
Hours Per Week
40 hours per week for 12 weeks
Work Arrangement
This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate student with a science and biology background and fluency in python programming and computational biology

- We will train the student in required techniques, analytical skills and scientific thinking.
- We also strongly encourage and will favorably consider the candidates from under-representative and diverse backgrounds.
