Responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining XML/HTML/Epub files independently.
• To Understand the Project Specifications, Mark-ups, and Style Guide shared by client.
• XML tagging for books, publications & journals using Epsilon editor.
• Mainly working for e-pub conversion, journal coding, proof reading, and QC (Quality Control) process.
• Validating and ensuring the correctness of the XML & final package before dispatch of the files. Ensure error-free output to meet quality standards and production targets.
• Identify and address the technical issues.
• Work closely with the in-house team to understand the original requirements and workflow.
• Provide regular updates on the progress and any challenges faced during coding/conversion.
• Gradually improve the productivity without compromising on quality.

Desired Skills

• Should have strong knowledge of XML and Preediting.
• Should have working knowledge in Notepad++, DTD, Parsing, MathML, Photoshop, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat.
• Hands-on experience in Books, Publications, Technical Manuals and Journals.
• OCR and PDF Section 508 Accessibility also as an added advantage.
• Good in English Communication & Computer Savvy skills.
• Can work in team.

Qualification and Experience
