Summary of Position: Support the enterprise systems of the college in support of Title III grant activities that will support reducing equity gaps by democratizing data.
This is a grant funded position with an end date of 09/30/2028.
Essential Functions
1. Maintain and uphold the College values of Learning, Excellence, Accountability, Diversity, Student Success,
Teamwork, Integrity, and Respect. Regular attendance is required.
2. Complete all required College training and responsible for maintaining the skills necessary to complete the
essential functions of the position as defined by the department.
3. Student Success is the cornerstone of Western's culture and the college may assign employees as needed to other
areas or additional duties to foster this success.
4. Programming Support - Supporting Action/Task May Include:
• Participate on team responsible for the programming, analysis, implementation and maintenance of Western systems.
• Major focus areas will be assisting in building a data governance system and integrated strategic planning to inform, guide and better direct planning and efficient management of institutional systems.
• Build data analysis and support planning and retention efforts across the ERP and CRM.
• Support Title III grant activities relating to data ethics and unconscious bias.
• Implement problem solving techniques and support/improve annual planning process.
• Consult with users to determine business needs, design solutions and evaluate feasibility of proposed solution.
• Analyze, Develop, write, test, debug and document and provide support for queries, SQL's and programs for reporting and processing needs for college information systems.
• Support college staff in specialized areas related to data governance.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field with 3 yrs. occupational experience OR
  • Education in related field combined with related occupational experience totaling 7 yrs. OR
  • Related Occupational experience totaling 7 yrs.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 years' experience

Note for Limited Term positions: if the position is more than 6 months but less than 1 year, new hires will be eligible for health, dental, vision and supplemental insurance. However, new hires will not be eligible for enrollment in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) and life insurance.
If position is less than 6 months, there are no benefits.
