POSITION TITLE: Tech Pro - Student Affairs
COMPENSATION RANGE: 31,200.00 - 37,440.00 USD per year
EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Temporary

Position Summary:
This position exists to provide clinical supervision to staff and trainees providing clinical and psychological support services for students dealing with stressful and/or emotional issues. This licensed professional will support staff and trainees who are providing clinical assistance to individual students, couples, therapy and didactic groups, including psychological assessment, empirically validated therapy treatments, and when needed appropriate referral. This position will provide necessary clinical supervisory support to the counseling center APA training program. This position could also provide on going clinical services for students and staff/faculty utilizing EAP services dealing with stressful and/or emotional issues, falling broadly under mental health needs.
Job Duties:
  • Responsible for the supervision of trainees and/or staff in their delivery of student support services or EAP services for psychological counseling, individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and consultation and outreach activities for educational and preventive programming.
  • Provide 2 direct clinical supervision hours per week to each trainee supervisee or 1 direct clinical supervision hour per week to a staff psychologist candidate.
  • If available provide support during complicated cases or crisis situations to supervisees
  • Engage in supervision preparation activities as needed
  • Review, provide feedback as applicable, and sign off on clinical documentation of services provided.
  • Consult with Director of Training, Director of Clinical Services, and Executive Director routinely and maintain as needed correspondence to stay grounded in current practices and procedures of UNC counseling center and exchange relevant information so that others in leadership roles can support the supervisee with administrative supervision.
  • Attend training team meetings as scheduled
  • Complete evaluations of supervisees
  • Responsible for maintaining timely and thorough documentation of activities, maintains knowledge of ethical and legal standards of care; provides all services in keeping with these standards, and obtaining appropriate continuing education to maintain license and develop professional skills.
  • Contribute to the continued development and improvement of center policies and procedures and work collaboratively with the Executive Director, Clinical Director, and Training Director, Office Manager, other Clinical Staff.
  • This position may provide on going clinical services for students and staff/faculty utilizing EAP services dealing with stressful and/or emotional issues, falling broadly under mental health needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ed.D., Ph.D., Psy.D. in counseling/clinical psychology,
  • Licensed as a psychologist in the State of Colorado.
  • Strong generalist skills in assessment and time-limited solution focused individual, couples and group counseling.
  • Excellent case management skills considerable knowledge and experience in consulting/crisis intervention, workshop presentation and training/supervision of graduate students or hourly staff.
  • Must also possess good oral, written and interpersonal skills.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Minimum of one year's full-time experience with a university counseling center.
