*This is a professional office environment position involving call center and document collation activity, claims handling and phone follow up. It's a family-friendly workplace where you get holidays off and business casual dress, except on Fridays.
Responsibilities:
Job Functions & Responsibilities
Under direct supervision of the Team Support Supervisor, you will provide administrative and data processing support for the disability case processing team
MUST display individual initiative and discretion.
Knowledge of agency and Federal rules and regulations pertaining to the development and processing of Social Security disability claims will be required
Knowledge of medical terminology
Ability to analyze data for useful output.
Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of computer systems.
Lifting 10 pounds occasionally
Data processing and good communication skills are REQUIRED.
Manages follow up calls and assists with incoming calls
Creates barcodes for scanning purposes and prepares cases for claims closure
Opens, receipts and distributes mail to DDS staff. Collects, collates and prepares outgoing mail. Ensures paper files are delivered to assigned location.
Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Working hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Qualifications & Requirements
Associate's degree or High School Diploma and 2 years of clerical experience in an office setting (Official transcripts will be required to verify education)
Ability to type minimum 35 WPM
Basic computer skills
Speak, read and write English (Spanish is a PLUS)
Ability to follow procedures
Work well in a team environment
Extensive Background Screenings will be completed, so please have patience during the hiring process
Must have reliable transportation - attendance is key
