Guide and coordinate warehouse associates and related resources to meet or exceed EMG’s productivity, quality and accuracy goals.
Essential job functions
- Coordinating and scheduling appointments, cross referencing availability, quantity, determine drops versus live loads.
- Strong desire to learn the processes and duties required to support the EMG business model and the superior EMG service standards.
- Ability to follow directions from supervisors and perform assigned tasks at a high level of efficiency with minimal supervision.
- Meet or exceed the productivity, quality and accuracy goals of EMG.
- Check condition of incoming shipments for damage and report any discrepancies to the Lead Supervisor.
- Check condition of outgoing shipments for conditions such as carton damage, poor shipping labels etc. that may lead to customer charge backs and report issues to the Lead Supervisor.
- Maintain all required documentation and paperwork as required.
- Understand and follow all warehouse safety standards
- Interpret specifications and job orders to associates and assign duties ensuring efficient use of resources to maximize labor savings
- Understand all tasks in assigned area and perform tasks as needed
- Train associates and monitor their performance and progress
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency of warehouse operations
- Coordinate warehouse activities with other Team Leaders
- Monitor progress of work unit goals and provide reports
- Provide a safe work environment through personal actions; Identify and address all safety concerns
- Analyze schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments
- Work effectively with associates in a constructive and positive manner respecting associates in actions, words and deeds
- Closely monitor assigned associate attendance and document in accordance with attendance policy; coach/mentor associates as necessary to improve attendance
- Process transactions using manual and RF technology to ensure proper flow throughout the facility
- Diligent in maintain accurate inventory
- Prioritize and achieve tasks through the warehouse
Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Minimum of two years prior warehouse Lead experience
- Strong understanding of inventory warehouse management systems
- Excellent problem solving and organization skills
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented and flexible
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
