The Role
What You Will Do
- Supports a team of Peer Workers in evaluating, developing, and implementing treatment plans according to service protocols.
- Provides backup support when necessary.
- Review work and documentation for quality, completeness, timeliness, and adherence to established policies and protocols.
- Provides regular and consistent supervision to Peer Workers, assisting them when necessary to identify entitlements and services for their program participants.
- Works as a member and leader of the Treatment team, ensuring coordination and consistency of service delivery.
- Carries a caseload of no more than 4 participants.
- Assists Peer Workers on how to share personal experiences to foster a sense of hope and recovery.
- Ensures coordination of services through collaboration and consultation with other staff, providers, and identified family and/or friends of the participant.
- Some with a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
AND - A CASAC Certification or NYS LMSW License
- Minimum of 5 years working in the NYS behavioral health field, one of which must be in SUD and at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
- Two years of life experience with behavioral health issues
- Knowledge of Evidenced Based Practices (Motivational Interviewing, Contingency)
- Ability to supervise and motivate others.
- Ability to prioritize, think logically, and maintain program standards and targets.
