A Team Leader at Mico's Hot Chicken is responsible for managing and supervising a team of kitchen staff and ensuring that all food preparation and service is carried out to the highest standards. They are responsible for delegating tasks, monitoring team performance, and providing training and support as needed. The Team Leader is also responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety protocols, and ensuring that all food items are prepared to the correct specifications. Additionally, they must be able to communicate effectively with both kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. Overall, the Team Leader plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of the restaurant by maintaining a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.

Activities & Responsibilities:

Primary:

Master of all Advanced Team Member stations in addition to Expo Station

• Ensures that Team Members follow procedures specific to each station and read tickets to accurately prepare all orders.
• Ensures that Prep procedures are followed to the restaurant’s standards
• Ensures that Team Members work at a pace to maintain the restaurant's established speed of service guidelines.
• Ensures that workstations are clean at all times..
• Perform any of the tasks above as needed throughout the shift.
• Addresses guest issues that may arise; consults with management regarding complex issues.
• Maintains a positive working relationship and treats all employees with respect while providing them with direction and feedback.
• Communicates employee performance and policy/procedure violations to management for appropriate handling.
• Strictly adheres to all Company policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

• Other Qualifying Characteristics
• Advanced Team Members must hold the posi;on for at least 120 days or 480 hours before becoming eligible for the position of Team Leader.
• Must have Trainer’s Certification
• Must have at minimum of 120 hours of training Orientees
• Skills Evaluation
• Required Reading and Report on Art of Self Leadership by Dr. Tim Elmore
• Must be available to open or close twice a week
• Clean record at time of consideration for promotion
• Can competently perform in all positions in the kitchen
• Prepares products that meet all Mico’s Hot Chicken’s standards
• Understands and Executes Opening, Transition, and Closing procedures according to Mico’s Hot Chicken’s Standards
• Understands how to properly use and maintain trash and cardboard compactors
• Consistently prioritizes cleanliness, food safety
• Embodies all of the restaurant’s core values
• Maintains productivity while always putting customers first
• Must align with Mico's Core Values
• Must be able to work Night Shifts
• Must be available weekends
