Team Lead, Cash Operations Summary:
The successful candidate will lead a Cash Operations team. This team is responsible ensuring that daily cutoff deliverables are met, responsible for facilitating electronic movements of funds, wires transfers and check issues along with trade postings on behalf of the client within defined procedures.
Major Duties:
- Organizes the work of the team, assigns tasks, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work.
- Conducts performance management and career development process.
- Ability to address front office escalations in relation to processing or projects.
- Responsible for exception/escalation management received via workflows and other sources.
- Work proactively with duality site, ensuring Team Leaders & Technical Coordinators work together with various leadership functions, including but not limited to queue management ensuring payment cutoffs are met, address any realignment of resources for workflow upticks/projects.
- Ensures business continuity plans for the team are reviewed and ready to implement.
- Ensures training and development of team/updating of any processing changes to the departmental procedures document and Service Delivery agreement documents maintained with front office groups supported by the team.
- Manage all audits and migrations related to the Cash Operations team.
- May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management.
- Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions.
- Conducts performance management and career development processes, and staffing and disciplinary actions.
- Provides input and support to budget management process.
Responsibilities:
- College or University degree and/or some relevant work experience is preferred.
- Related Industry qualification / or studying towards, is preferred.
- Ideally seeking a Cash Operations background or related.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
- Analytical and problem solving skills are required.
- Working experience and knowledge of risk management and mitigation is required
- Facilitation, negotiation and influencing skills are required.
- Leadership and organizational skills are needed to prioritize assignments and provide feedback to staff.
