Jeffco Public Schools (Jeffco) is located in Jefferson County, Colorado. It is the second largest school district in Colorado serving 69,000 students across 155 schools. With 14,000 employees, the district is the largest employer in Jefferson County and has provided educational excellence for more than 70 years.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL/DEPARTMENT
Stober Elementary School is small neighborhood school currently serving 330 students located in the Wheat Ridge area of Jefferson County. Stober's community takes tremendous pride in their school and are true partners in the education of our children.
Stober strives to be a learning environment where students engage in authentic, student-centered opportunities. We partner with community organizations to provide students with design opportunities to develop problem-solving and critical thinking, so that students understand that the skills they learn in school can be transferred and applied to their experiences in the world.
Stober has partnered with the Colorado Education Initiative to implement Personalized Learning Practices. In addition to providing deeper learning through rigorous content and instructional practices, Stober utilizes flexible seating as well as competency-based learning to provide students choice and voice in their learning.

RESPONSIBILITIES
SUMMARY: Responsible for instructing students in an Elementary Grades K-6. Creates lesson plans, instructs students on core subjects such as science, literature, and math, and creates a well-rounded, comprehensive instructional preparedness based on the District's Core Curriculum. Create instructional resources for use in the classroom.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities.
Create positive educational climate for students to learn in.
Meet course and school-wide student performance goals.
Participate in ongoing training sessions.
Create lesson plans and modify accordingly throughout the year.
Grade papers and perform other administrative duties as needed.
Read and stay abreast of current topics in education.
Utilize various curriculum resources and technologies to enhance student learning.
Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.
Utilize District curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served.
Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
Prepare and distribute parent communications.
Observe and evaluate student's performance.
Manage student behavior in the classroom creating appropriate behavior strategies.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING Teacher must hold Colorado Teaching License or authorization.
