RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Site Supervisor in planning program curriculum
- Assist Site Supervisor in implementing program curriculum
- Assist Staff in supervising groups of kindergarten through sixth grade children
- Assist staff in managing groups of kindergarten through sixth grade children
- Prepare and provide daily snacks for children • Insure appropriate environment
- Insures safety of children
- Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations
- Maintain open communication with parents and school staff
- Participation in monthly staff and teacher trainings
- Attend meetings and agency functions as required
- Substitute at other sites as required
- Actively participates in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities including any or all of the following: physical fitness, organized sports, academic projects, fine arts, and practical arts
- Respects families and children’s right to privacy
- Maintains an organized and clean environment
- Familiar with Child Protective Services reporting responsibilities
- Familiar with Title 22 licensing requirements
- Have and maintain positive and supportive relationships with coworkers
- Maintain accurate knowledge about the agency, its programs and service
- Accurately represent the agency to and maintain positive working relationships with the general public, clients, funding sources, government bodies, etc.
- Communicate positive and negative feedback from the community through your supervisor to management
- Utilize appropriate opportunities to pursue positive public relations for the agency
- Other tasks as assigned by the Site Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least age 18 at time of hire
- Ability to relate well with children and adults
- Must pass TB and health screening
- Obtain Pediatric CPR and First aid certificate within 30 days of employment
- DOJ fingerprinting clearance, and child abuse index processing
- Access to reliable transportation and willing to use it for job-related tasks
- Have a driving record that complies with SAY Driving Policies
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
